Growing up, I could often be found reading, making up my own stories, drawing comics, and creating quirky characters. Years later, I studied graphic design and illustration at the University of Michigan where I received my bachelor of fine arts.  One thing most people don’t know is that I also have an English degree - told you I love a great story!

 

As such, storytelling often finds its way into my artwork. That's why I'm so drawn to ancient mythology and folklore; the characters in those tales are just begging to be drawn!  When I’m not illustrating you can often find me curled up with a cup of tea and a good book, movie, or podcast. I also love exploring the great outdoors and enjoy running, biking, birdwatching, and going on adventures in my state and beyond.
